SLCS Calls For Change Of Rice Contractor

Investigation undertaken by this writer reveals that for 9 months the Sierra Leone Correctional Service (SLCS) aka Prison has gone without rice supply. Senior Officers of Prison have recommended the Police Rice Supply Contractor, Ahmed H Hashem aka VIP to take over the Prison rice supply.

They maintained that following the activities of the VIP, they noticed that since taking over supply of rice to the Sierra Leone Police, there has been no backlog rice supply, and even when there is delay to pay him for the supply, he uses his own personal money to supply the Police. They also noted that VIP is not only supplying rice, but quality rice, the per-boiled rice (premium pusawai), which is among one of the most expensive rice type in the market.

The cry at SLCS is too much, and they are crying for the contract to be terminated and given to VIP to ensure regular and quality rice supply to the SLCS.s.
