Newly appointed Executive Director of National Sports Authority (NSA), Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai Esq, on Monday 15th April, 2024 paid a special courtesy call on the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, at her office in Bishop House, Freetown.
Madam Minister warmly welcomed Dr. Abdulai and his entourage, extending her congratulations on behalf of herself and the Ministry of Sports. She expressed her hope for a collaborative effort towards the development of sports in the country, echoing the vision of President Bio.
During the meeting, Madam Minister shared insights into the achievements and challenges so far. She outlined ongoing projects aimed at fostering the growth of sports in the nation.
Updates were provided on the rehabilitation work at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, progress on the Bo Mini Stadium project, and developments regarding the Tihun mini Stadium project.
Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, highlighted the establishment of a ranking system by the Ministry of Sports and NSA officials, which will determine funding allocations for each sports association.
She expressed confidence in his [Dr. Abdulai’s] abilities and dedication to advancing sports development in Sierra Leone. She stressed the importance of collaboration to meet the expectations of the government and the people.
Madam Minister reaffirmed her commitment to open communication and collaboration, extending her best wishes to Dr. Abdulai and his team for success in their endeavors.
In his response, the new NSA Boss, Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, emphasized his extensive experience in sports and his commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and integrity.
