Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, is expected to engage  Sierra Leoneans and non-Sierra Leonans in the Disapora to see Sierra Leone as a potential ground for Diaspora Investment in National Development.

The Civic Series Meeting to be held in the  United Kigndom will focus on how  to  strengthen ties between Sierra Leone and its global diaspora while unlocking new opportunities for investment, economic growth, and national development.

Scheduled to take place from June 18 to 21, 2026, the event is being hailed as the first initiative of its kind, bringing together government officials, business leaders, investors, professionals, and Sierra Leoneans living abroad under one platform dedicated to building a stronger and more prosperous nation.

The Vice President’s prominent role in the event underscores the Government of Sierra Leone’s commitment to deepening engagement with the diaspora, which continues to play a critical role in the country’s economy through remittances, expertise, and investment.

Dr. Juldeh Jalloh will serve as the chief government figure at the event and will co-host the prestigious 4th Annual Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference (SLDIC), where discussions will focus on transforming diaspora remittances into structured and sustainable investments capable of creating jobs, supporting businesses, and accelerating national development.

Political observers say the Vice President’s participation reflects his growing reputation as a bridge-builder capable of bringing together Sierra Leoneans from different political, regional, and social backgrounds around a common national agenda.

The week-long programme will commence with London Civic Day on June 18, organized by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education. The event will focus on active citizenship, national cohesion, and strengthening dialogue between the government and diaspora communities, with Vice President Juldeh Jalloh attending as the Guest of Honour.

The centerpiece of the week will be the Diaspora Investment Conference on June 19 and 20, where the Vice President is expected to outline government policies aimed at encouraging diaspora participation in key sectors of the economy. The conference will also feature leading investors and business executives, including TAF Africa Global CEO Mustapha Njie, who will deliver the keynote address.

For many Sierra Leoneans abroad, the Vice President’s involvement sends a strong signal that the government recognizes the diaspora not merely as a source of remittances but as strategic partners in nation-building.

Over the years, Dr. Juldeh Jalloh has consistently championed initiatives designed to attract investment, improve governance, and strengthen partnerships between Sierra Leone and the international community. His leadership role at the London gathering is therefore expected to add significant weight and credibility to discussions on diaspora engagement.

Organizers say the event is designed to move beyond politics and focus on practical solutions that can help transform Sierra Leone’s future. It seeks to create a platform where ideas, capital, expertise, and patriotism can converge to drive sustainable development.

The week will conclude on June 21 with the TAF Africa Global West African Real Estate Expo, providing opportunities for Sierra Leoneans and other investors to explore property ownership, financing options, and real estate investments across the region.

As anticipation builds ahead of the historic gathering, many see Vice President Juldeh Jalloh’s headlining role as further evidence of his commitment to fostering unity, promoting investment, and ensuring that Sierra Leoneans everywhere have a stake in the country’s future.

With London preparing to host one of the largest gatherings of Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora, the message from the Vice President’s participation is clear: Sierra Leone’s development journey is a shared responsibility, and the diaspora remains a vital partner in shaping the nation’s next chapter.
