It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I have received the news of the passing of Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, National Chairman of the All Peoples Congress (APC), a distinguished statesman, committed party stalwart, and loyal servant of the people of Sierra Leone.
At moments such as this, words often fail to adequately express the depth of loss and grief that accompany the departure of a man whose life was dedicated to public service, party loyalty, and national development.
Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray devoted decades of his life to the APC, serving faithfully from his youthful days as president of the then National Youth League to becoming one of its most respected senior leaders through his stewardship as Deputy Chairman and subsequently, as Chairman of the great APC party.
His journey through Parliament, Cabinet, and the highest advisory structures of our party reflected a steadfast commitment to the ideals and aspirations of the APC and the progress of Sierra Leone.
Throughout his distinguished career, he served with dedication as a Member of Parliament, Minister of Labour and Employment, Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, and a member of the APC National Advisory Council.
In each of these capacities, he brought experience, wisdom, and a deep sense of responsibility to the duties entrusted to him. His contributions to governance and national development will remain an enduring part of his legacy.
For many within our party, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray was more than a leader; he was a source of counsel, stability, and institutional memory. His calm disposition, unwavering loyalty, and commitment to the unity and strength of the APC earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues across generations.
On behalf of the DIB Movement, my family, and myself, I extend heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, loved ones, friends, the leadership and membership of the APC, and the people of Sierra Leone. We join the nation in mourning the loss of a distinguished son whose service and sacrifices will not be forgotten.
As we reflect on his life and contributions, let us also draw inspiration from his commitment to duty, his devotion to party and country, and his belief in service above self.
May Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgive his shortcomings, reward his good deeds, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and give comfort, strength, and peace to all who mourn his passing.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
