By Kadiatu Sankoh

Justice Boima, spokesperson for Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally, has announced that preparations are underway for Tarawally’s homecoming on 15 November 2026, while emphasising that the Vision MT Movement is established to serve the people rather than operate as a political party.

Speaking during an interview on the Breakfast Show on Liberty Online TV on Monday, 2 November 2026, Justice Boima said the MT movement was officially registered to promote community engagement, empower citizens and support initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Sierra Leoneans.

He explained that the movement was founded on the principles of national unity, social cohesion, security of life, prosperity, investment and the equitable distribution of wealth. According to him, its mission is to reach out to communities, advocate for ordinary citizens and provide services that directly benefit the people.

Justice Boima stressed that the movement was open to people from all walks of life, including journalists, civil society organisations and other professional groups, encouraging them to join its efforts to promote national development.

He said the team was working towards the planned 15 November homecoming, describing it as an opportunity for Tarawally to return and continue his community engagement and service-oriented activities.

According to the spokesperson, Tarawally remains committed to giving back to the people and expanding his activities to reach more communities across Sierra Leone. He expressed confidence that the homecoming would attract a large crowd, citing Tarawally’s grassroots connections and support across the country.

Justice Boima said supporters were expected from Freetown and other parts of the country, including Moyamba, Bombali, Kono Kailahun. He added that arrangements were being made to ensure security and public safety during the event

Addressing the disagreements between Tarawally and the leadership of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Justice Boima disclosed that the party’s Elders Council was undertaking mediation efforts to resolve the issues between Tarawally and the party’s executive.

He expressed hope that the matter would be addressed through the ongoing mediation process, although he did not provide further details about the discussions or indicate when a resolution might be reached.

On Tarawally’s political future within the SLPP, Justice Boima strongly endorsed his principal as the party’s most suitable candidate for the 2028 general elections.

He argued that Tarawally possesses the leadership qualities, grassroots support and national appeal needed to unite the party and attract votes from across the political divide, including supporters of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC).

According to him, the SLPP risks weakening its chances in the next general elections if it fails to recognise Tarawally’s political potential.

Justice Boima maintained that Tarawally was not desperate to remain in the party, but was committed to serving Sierra Leoneans and contributing to the country’s development.

The spokesperson also addressed reports concerning a complaint against Tarawally at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

Justice Boima described Tarawally and his associates as law-abiding citizens who were prepared to respond to any lawful invitation from the police. He characterised the disagreements as internal party matters and argued that political disputes could lead to strong exchanges between opposing sides.

He further alleged that misleading statements had been made against Tarawally without supporting evidence, while reaffirming his confidence in his principal’s character and commitment to public service.
