One Mobile has announced an upgrade to its unlimited data packages, offering customers free, unlimited on-net calls and text messages at no additional cost, in a move aimed at making communication more affordable and accessible across Sierra Leone.
The new offering, which takes effect on 3rd November 2026, applies to the network’s daily, weekly and monthly unlimited data packages, allowing eligible subscribers to make calls and send SMS messages to other One Mobile users without incurring additional charges.
According to the company, the benefit is available to customers using compatible smartphones subscribed to any of its qualifying unlimited data packages.
The Chief Executive Officer of One Mobile said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to delivering greater value to customers, while making communication more affordable for Sierra Leoneans.
“We want to make it easier and more affordable for Sierra Leoneans to talk and text,” the CEO stated.
He added that incorporating free calls and SMS into the network’s unlimited data packages would provide additional benefits to customers and strengthen the sense of community among its subscribers, whom the company refers to as its “Tribe”.
“By adding free calls and SMS to our popular unlimited data plans, we are giving our community—our Tribe—more value. As more people join the network, the benefits only grow for everyone,” he said.
