RCBank Concludes UTB Integration Process

Rokel Commercial Bank (RCB) has announced the successful migration of former Union Trust Bank (UTB) customers onto its banking platform, marking another major step in the ongoing integration process between the two financial institutions.

In a statement issued on Monday, August 31, 2026, RCB Management informed all former UTB customers that their accounts have now been successfully transferred and assigned new RCB account numbers. The move forms part of the bank’s efforts to ensure a smooth transition following the integration of UTB operations into RCB.

The bank explained that the migration of customer accounts was necessary to align all banking services under the RCB system and provide customers with improved access to modern, secure and efficient financial services.

Former UTB customers have been advised to visit any nearest RCB branch across the country or contact the bank’s Customer Care Centre to obtain their new account details. Customers are encouraged to update their records with the new account information to avoid any challenges during future transactions.

RCB also announced that it will begin the distribution of newly branded RCB cheque books to former UTB customers as part of the transition process. The bank said customers will receive notifications through SMS messages or telephone calls informing them when and where their new cheque books can be collected.

For customers who require urgent cheque-related services before receiving their new cheque books, RCB has advised them to visit their respective branches with valid identification documents. The bank assured customers that necessary support measures have been put in place to address their immediate banking needs during the transition period.

The integration of UTB into RCB follows regulatory measures aimed at strengthening Sierra Leone’s banking sector and ensuring the continued stability and reliability of financial services for customers. RCB said it remains committed to making the transition process as convenient as possible while maintaining uninterrupted access to banking services.

Management acknowledged that changes of this nature may present temporary inconveniences and apologised to customers for any challenges they may experience during the adjustment period. The bank expressed appreciation to former UTB customers for their patience, understanding and cooperation throughout the integration exercise.

RCB reaffirmed its commitment to providing secure, dependable and customer-focused banking solutions, while leveraging the combined strengths of both institutions to deliver enhanced services to individuals, businesses and communities across Sierra Leone.

The bank encouraged former UTB customers requiring additional clarification or support to contact RCB through its official communication channels. Customers can reach the RCB Customer Care Centre on +232 76 623128, +232 76 188700, or +232 78 507745.
