Alisha Kamara Escapes Death At Hands Of Ruling Party Operatives

According to information unearthed in an investigation mounted by this medium, in respect of an attack on the residence of a political heavyweight of the main opposition party APC, Alie Kamara, at Ferry Junction (PWD), Eastern Freetown, one Alisha Kamara, a daughter of the politician, is said to have narrowly escaped being burnt alive in the house.

According to our investigation, Alisha’s father, Hon. Alie Kamara, was among the ten (10) Members of Parliament that were petitioned against by the ruling party, and the Court disqualified their winning and installed their rivals as winners of the elections held in their respective constituencies.

This decision resulted in a fracas between the opposition party and the police at the party’s office in Freetown. The incident took a different turn when ruling party youths were identified among the police that fired at the party’s office. This situation created serious tension between the opposition and the ruling party, resulting in open confrontation in strongholds of the opposition party, with known members and supporters of the party being targeted by ruling party operatives in the company of armed police.

Thus, on June 17, 2021, the home of Hon. Alie Kamara was targeted by ruling party operatives in the company of the police. Residents in the area confirmed that there was heavy gun fire during that night, between the hours of 11:00 and 12 midnight. They furthered that after the firing, they saw known ruling party operatives put fire to the house.

Alisha Kamara is said to have been rescued by some area youths during the inferno, but that they do not know whether the other members of the family were able to make it out of the burning building.

Main opposition party Councillors in the area confirmed that the arson and possible deaths of their disqualified MP (controversial court decision), as well as members of his entire family in the said inferno, was orchestrated by known ruling party youths in the company of armed security forces, who attacked the house late that night. They furthered that Hon. Alie Kamara was living with his wife and 6 children, three boys and three girls, and that they had all gone to sleep when their assailants came.

Neighbors say that they were afraid that the fire will spread to their house and concentrated on containing the fire. They also expressed pessimism over the possibility of anyone coming out of that fire alive, except Alisha Kamara, who they say was rescued by the area youths. They furthered that after her rescue, she managed to disappear from the scene in the seeming confusion, and her whereabouts are unknown.

As we go to press the whereabouts of Alisha wainwright and the rest of her family are still unknown.
