Casablanca, 24 July 2026 Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA) has published its 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report titled “Building the Future Together”, highlighting the company’s commitment to expanding digital inclusion, strengthening infrastructure resilience and promoting sustainable growth across Africa and the Middle East.
As a major digital player in the region, Orange Middle East and Africa serves more than 179 million customers and is supported by nearly 19,000 employees. The report outlines how the company’s infrastructure investments, digital and financial services, energy solutions, Orange Digital Centers and employee-led initiatives are contributing to more inclusive and sustainable development.
The report is structured around three key areas: resilient infrastructure, digital technology as a driver of inclusion, and responsible governance. It presents measurable results, impact indicators and real-life stories demonstrating Orange’s contribution to economic, social and environmental transformation across the region.
In the area of infrastructure, Orange continues to invest in expanding network coverage, improving cybersecurity, strengthening infrastructure resilience through artificial intelligence and developing strategic international connectivity. The company is also accelerating its energy transition through initiatives such as site solarisation, renewable energy adoption and the circular management of digital equipment.
The report also highlights Orange’s efforts to make digital, financial and energy services more accessible through platforms and products including Max it, Orange Money, Orange Bank Africa, Orange Energies and affordable Sanza smartphones.
A key focus of the company’s inclusion strategy remains the Orange Digital Centers, which are now established in 16 countries and have supported 1.4 million beneficiaries. The centres provide training, international certifications, incubation, acceleration and access to startup funding, helping young people develop digital skills, improve employability and pursue entrepreneurship opportunities.
Orange Middle East and Africa has set a target of training three million young people by 2030, reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment and digital skills development.
Beyond technology and services, the CSR report emphasises Orange’s responsible governance approach, built on ethics, transparency and engagement with stakeholders. Through programmes such as Orange Engage for Change, employees across the region participate in social and environmental initiatives aimed at creating positive impact in their communities.
The report also highlights the company’s focus on diversity, inclusion, skills development, compliance and certification systems designed to support responsible and sustainable performance.
Speaking on the report, Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, said the company’s success is measured not only by the quality of its networks but also by the impact it creates for people and communities.
“With Building the Future Together, we show that our performance is measured as much by the quality of our networks as by the tangible impact we create for people. By investing in resilient infrastructure, developing inclusive services and empowering talent, we are laying the foundations for sustainable growth serving Africa and the Middle East,” he said.
Asma Ennaifer, Executive Director for CSR, Orange Digital Center and Communications at Orange Middle East and Africa, said the company’s mission is to ensure that technology serves people and creates opportunities for learning, entrepreneurship and inclusion.
“Behind every network, every service and every inclusion programme lies the same ambition: to put technology at the service of people. By creating opportunities for learning, entrepreneurship, financial and energy inclusion and by mobilising our employees through Orange Engage for Change, we are helping to build a more inclusive, more resilient and more sustainable future,” she said.
Orange operates in 18 countries across Africa and the Middle East and recorded more than 175 million customers as of 31 December 2025. With revenue of €8.4 billion in 2025, Orange Middle East and Africa remains the Orange Group’s leading growth region.
