Tiwai Memory Masters Ltd. (TMM) has rejected recent media reports and public commentary alleging that the company was involved in contract delivery issues and an ongoing engagement with the Ministry of Aviation.
In a statement, the company categorically stated that it has never engaged with the Ministry of Aviation in relation to the matter referenced in the publication.
TMM also dismissed suggestions that it has undermined Sierra Leone’s development projects or acted against the national interest, describing the allegations as unfounded and unsupported by facts.
Established in 2000, Tiwai Memory Masters Ltd. said it has contributed for more than two decades to Sierra Leone’s digital transformation and the development of the information and communications technology sector.
The company highlighted its involvement in several nationally significant and donor-funded projects, including the Payment System Infrastructure for the Bank of Sierra Leone, funded by the African Development Bank; the National Payment Switch, funded by the World Bank; and the implementation of data centres across the country, including the recently completed data centre for the National Communications Authority (NatCA).
TMM also cited its involvement in infrastructure for the National Civil Registration Authority, the Digital Farmers Register, ASYCUDA and ITAS, as well as the supply and distribution of approximately 7,000 solar-powered tablets and accessories under the Free Education Project.
The company further noted its ongoing implementation of infrastructure for 17 community banks and Apex Bank across Sierra Leone, funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
According to TMM, these projects have supported financial inclusion, public-sector modernisation, education, banking, agriculture, civil registration, customs administration and national digital infrastructure.
The company reiterated that public procurement must be conducted fairly, transparently and in accordance with applicable laws and procedures. It said any concerns regarding procurement or contract performance should be addressed through competent authorities, proper investigations and verifiable evidence rather than speculation or unsubstantiated publications.
TMM expressed concern that what it described as unsupported allegations could damage its reputation, employees, partners and the wider Sierra Leonean technology sector.
The company reaffirmed that it has never engaged with the Ministry of Aviation concerning the matter described in the publication, has not undermined Sierra Leone’s development projects, remains committed to transparent and lawful procurement processes, and stands by the quality and integrity of its work.
TMM also called on media organisations, commentators and members of the public to verify information before publishing or repeating allegations that could damage the reputation of individuals and institutions.
The company stressed that responsible journalism and public accountability are essential, but should be based on accurate information, documentary evidence and an opportunity for concerned parties to respond.
Tiwai Memory Masters Ltd. said it remains committed to Sierra Leone’s development and the country’s digital transformation agenda, adding that it will continue to provide reliable technology solutions and deliver projects in accordance with contractual, professional and regulatory standards.
TMM concluded by stating that it reserves all rights available to it under the law in respect of publications or statements it considers false, misleading or defamatory.

It is unfortunate that, despite TMM’s longstanding record of service and achievement, attempts are being made to portray the company negatively through claims that are not supported by facts. TMM considers such allegations misleading and damaging to its reputation, its employees, its partners, and the broader Sierra Leonean technology sector.
For the avoidance of doubt, TMM:
- Has never engaged with the Ministry of Aviation in relation to the matter described in the publication;
- Has not undermined Sierra Leone’s development projects;
- Remains committed to transparent and lawful procurement processes; and
- Stands by the quality and integrity of its work on projects entrusted to the company.
