Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara [Jagaban], received a hero’s welcome in his hometown of Blama, as community members gathered to show admiration and appreciation for his continued support to Blama, but most of all, his service to Sierra Leone.
The town’s Chairman expressed heartfelt joy at Jagaban’s return, calling it a proud moment for the entire community. Echoing his words, Mr. Muneru from Unity Ataya Base remarked, “Oh yes, I just want to reaffirm what the Chairman has said.”
A representative from Number One Ataya Base praised Jagaban for his consistent support to communities across the country. “Papa Jagaban, we thank you for all your good work. Your voice speaks for many, and our collective requests are with you.”
Radio Gagoh also acknowledged his presence, applauding Jagaban’s humanitarian efforts, especially his support for fire victims nationwide. “He is one of the few actively helping this country,” a representative noted.
The Public Relations Officer of the Bike Riders Union expressed gratitude for Jagaban’s previous donation of NLe 15,000, and appealed for additional support, including a new motorbike to ease their work.
The Market Women Chairlady also made a heartfelt appeal, citing the daily struggles faced by women in the market, and called on Jagaban to extend his support.
In a striking moment, a known member of the SLPP, publicly declared his defection to the APC, stating, “From today forward, I am APC for the sake of Jagaban.”
In his address, Jagaban thanked the crowd for their warm reception. “As you all know, I am an APCian, but today, I am here as family. We must speak with one voice,” he said. “The only thing I ask for is your prayers. Blama is my home, and like the river’s tide, I will always return.”
The visit marked a deeply emotional and unifying moment for the people of Blama and reaffirmed Jagaban’s growing influence across party lines.
