Healing, Strength, and the Road to the Promise Land

Every great nation is built by people who chose unity over division. Every great party is sustained by members who chose purpose over pride. Today, the All People’s Congress stands at that same crossroad.
The time has come for us to move from division to direction.
THE PRESENT REALITY
Comrades, let us speak truth. Our APC is going through a difficult moment. There are disagreements. There are debates about leadership, about strategy, about internal elections, and about the best way to rescue Sierra Leone. Some comrades feel unheard. Some feel sidelined. Some are frustrated that we have not yet put our house fully in order.
This is painful, but it is not the end. Every family argues. Every great movement faces tests. The question is not whether we have differences. The question is: what will we do with those differences? Will we allow them to destroy us, or will we use them to make us stronger?
THE PEOPLE ARE WAITING
The people of Sierra Leone are tired of waiting. The market woman in Freetown, the farmer in Kono, the student in Makeni, and the youth in Bo are not asking about our meetings. They are asking when the APC will give them hope again.
They are waiting for the APC to take them to the promise land. They are waiting for freedom, justice for all, jobs, affordable food, and a government that serves the people, not itself.
We cannot answer that call if we are fighting each other. We can only answer it if we stand as one.
- IBRAHIM BANGURA’S CALL: UNITY IS OUR STRENGTH
In the vision of Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, the APC must return to its foundation: service, sacrifice, and solidarity. He says the APC was not built to create dependency. It was built to create direction.
His message is simple:
- Heal First: Let us forgive, let us listen, let us sit at the same table. Wounds heal when we choose peace over provocation.
- Organize Together: Let us strengthen every constituency, every chiefdom, every ward. Train our youth. Empower our women. A strong base means a strong party.
- Serve Sierra Leone: Put country first, party second, and self last. Our fight is not against each other. Our fight is for the redemption of Mama Salone.
Dr. Bangura embodies this call. His passion burns like fire. His dream is not for himself, but for all of us. A Sierra Leone where there is justice, opportunity, and dignity for every citizen.
THE ROAD AHEAD
Comrades, THE SUN WILL RISE AGAIN for the APC. But the sun will only rise if we do the work.
Let us choose love over hate.
Let us choose unity over division.
Let us choose building bridges instead of walls.
When the APC is united, Sierra Leone wins. When the APC is strong, the people win. When the APC leads, Mama Salone is proud again.
I call on every member, from grassroots to leadership: Don’t wait to be led. Lead in your community. Defend the party with truth. Organize with love. Speak with respect.
Together we will heal.
Together we will unite.
Together we will build.
Together we will deliver the promise land.
