In a call for unity and peaceful engagement, All People’s Congress (APC) member, Abu Bakarr Sidike Daramy, has urged fellow aspirants to maintain order and morality throughout the party’s internal electoral process. His appeal comes as the APC prepares for a series of lower-level meetings leading to its National Delegates Conference, where flagbearers and leaders will be chosen, ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Daramy emphasized that campaigning must be conducted without violence, stating, “We should be peaceful to do the campaign right; let us not bring any violent activity.” He reiterated a message of divine providence and persuasive politics, noting, “We, as politicians, keep saying who God has chosen can have the power. Let us canvas people to vote for you, talk to them.”

Highlighting the familial bond within the party, he called on members to treat each other as brothers and sisters throughout the campaign process. “We are all comrades,” Daramy said, adding that peaceful and orderly conduct could attract members from other parties to view the APC as a united family.

He framed the upcoming internal elections as a critical step toward national leadership, expressing confidence that a united APC could elect a future president dedicated to changing the lives of Sierra Leoneans. Daramy concluded with a reminder that the party’s conduct now would set the tone for broader electoral success, urging members to carry out all lower-level elections peacefully and without fear.
