The Honourable Minister of Gender and Children’s Affairs today received the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Sierra Leone for a courtesy meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and Orange Sierra Leone in advancing initiatives that support women and children across the country.


Discussions focused on enhancing the longstanding partnership between the Ministry and Orange Sierra Leone, with particular emphasis on promoting gender equality, women’s empowerment, child protection, digital inclusion, and education.
During the meeting, the CEO of Orange Sierra Leone commended the Honourable Minister and her team for their unwavering commitment and remarkable efforts in advancing gender equality and safeguarding the rights and well-being of women and children in Sierra Leone.

The Honourable Minister, in turn, expressed her sincere appreciation to Orange Sierra Leone for its continued investment in social development through the Orange Foundation. She acknowledged the Foundation’s impactful initiatives, including digital skills training for more than 500 women and its continued support for children’s education, which have significantly contributed to empowering communities across the country.
Both the Ministry and Orange Sierra Leone reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening their partnership and working collaboratively to promote gender equality, strengthen child protection systems, and create greater opportunities for women and children.
The Honourable Minister further reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to engaging with private sector partners to foster inclusive development and accelerate progress towards a safer, more equitable, and empowered Sierra Leone for all women and children.
