Political heavy Weight Hon Alhaju Musa Tarawally has expressed strong criticism on the name given to the SLPP Party Office in Kono (Amina Maada Bio Hall) a decision he considered out of touch in line with the party’s policy.

Hon Musa Tarawally who is also senior member of the SLPP and is presently among those aspiring to lead the party in the 2028 election, said, names given to party offices must align with the party’s core vision and values. He therefore writes and expressed his views as follows…
‘‘I highly appreciate the construction and commissioning of the Kono District SLPP office. But, strongly criticize the name of the hall (Amina Maada Bio Hall – WAY OUT OF LINE). It makes it sound like a family property and an act of Monarchy. (President Bio recently proclaimed strongly against any act of Monarch).
Symbolic names like:
Paul Dumbar Hall. – (Rev. Paul L. Dumbar was a prominent founding member and the first National Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) when the party was formed in the early 1950).
Hon. S. L Maturi Hall – Hon. S. L MATURI In the pre-independence and early post-independence eras, served as a Member of Parliament before later joining the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).
Hon. D.S Bockari Hall – He was an elected Member of Parliament who historically in 1963, broke his alliance with the All People’s Congress (APC) and joined the SLPP, altering the political dynamics of the era.
Sir Milton Margai Hall – First Leader of SLPP and Prime Minister of Sierra Leone.
Hon. G W Mani Hall – Hon. G W Mani was a Parliamentarian and an infleuncial kono politician who historically crossed over to SLPP before independence, facilitating the establishment of the SLPP base in Kono District.
Sir Albert Margai Hall – Leader and Second Prime Minister.
- Ahmed Tejan Kabbah Hall – Former Leader and Head of State.
HE Julius Maada Bio Hall – Leader and President
Those are symbolic names that can add political value and establish respect for SLPP legendary heroes.
