Mariama Mannah Conteh declared wanted

Mariama Mannah Conteh has been declared wanted by the Sierra Leone Police in connection to the failed coup attempt on November 26th. She is believed to be a person of interest due to her alleged secret communication with former security guards of President Ernest Bai Koroma just before the incident occurred.

During their investigation, the Police discovered that some individuals involved in the foiled coup were former close protection security guards who had served the Former President. Police sources within the Cyber Security Crime Unit at the Criminal Investigation Department identified Mariama Mannah Conteh as the individual whose communication was traced to conversations with key figures involved in the coup, including Soriba, Leather Boot, and two others who were shot by government forces.

As a result, the Police have a strong belief that Mariama Mannah Conteh has pertinent information and should be held accountable. She has been listed among those wanted by the government, with a reward of two thousand United States Dollars offered for any information leading to the arrest of the fugitives.

The failed coup on November 26th caused significant instability in the country, prompting swift action from President Bio’s government, who publicly named politicians suspected of sponsoring the coup attempt. Former President Ernest Bai Koroma was among those named and has been summoned by the police for questioning regarding his potential involvement.

Mariama Mannah Conteh is currently on the run as authorities suspect she could provide valuable insights that may expose the extent of involvement by the former President and others in the coup operations. The Police are actively seeking her cooperation to shed light on the events leading up to the foiled coup and to ensure that justice is served in this matter.
