A recent one-on-one interview on Liberty TV featuring Hon. Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara has resurfaced online, in which he confidently asserted that not even President Julius Maada Bio could prevent the All People’s Congress from winning the 2028 elections.

During the interview, Hon. JFK addressed several issues surrounding the credibility of the 2023 elections, stating that to this day, both the All People’s Congress and the Sierra Leone People’s Party remain unclear about who truly won the polls.

He rejected suggestions that the Tripartite Agreement was merely a gentleman’s agreement, describing remarks made by the SLPP Secretary-General as deceitful, insincere, and dishonest.

Hon. JFK also reminded the nation of the controversy involving the former Clerk of Parliament, who reportedly denied employing his wife, despite claims that she had been employed under his authority.

The former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice further criticized the appointment of Edmond Alpha as Chairman of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone, arguing that his involvement in the previous electoral process makes the appointment unacceptable.

He went on to use the popular Krio proverb, “Monkey nor dae lef ihn black hand,” implying that habitual conduct is difficult to change.

Despite these concerns, Hon. JFK reaffirmed that the All People’s Congress is fully preparing for the 2028 elections and remains confident of victory, even if President Julius Maada Bio himself were appointed Chief Electoral Commissioner.

The statement has since been described by many political observers as bold, fearless, and resolute.
