DSP Sarah Conteh, the Officer in Charge attached to the Kissy Dockyard Police station in the Eastern part of Freetown, has continued to demonstrate sound professionalism in the drive to strengthen community Policing. Her output is an indication that women can deliver when given the responsibility and allowed to perform.
Residents within the Kissy Dockyard Community and its environs are referring to DSP Sarah Conteh’s proactive action as a brilliant initiative to strengthen community Policing and security, which they said had been lacking. “She has been able to institute very strong security measures” explained one Osman Kabia.
Madam Isatu Kamara, in an interview with this reporter, disclosed that since DSP Sarah Conteh took over the kissy Dockyard Police station, a marked reduction in crime rate has been observed, and called on companies operating within the community to support the station with a standby generator to aid the work of the Police.
During an engagement at the station involving a caretaker and a Tenant, DSP Sarah Conteh revealed that community engagement remains key for an effective community security, adding that Police Partnership Boards are to compliment the work of the Police in the interest of National Security.
She expressed thanks to her operational team, as they are working 24/7 to ensure the safety of Residents, and called for a strong community security partnership to compliment the effort of National Security. “My door is always open to receive any information and Complaint” she assured.
