In an extraordinary show of humility, and philanthropy during this Holy month of Ramadan, the APC shining star, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura has concluded a two-day tour of Kambia and Port Loko as part of his nationwide distribution of thousands of bags of rice and gallons of cooking oil to Comrades observing the Ramadan.
Elders and party faithful of the APC turned out in huge numbers in Kambia Town, Madina, Tonko Limba, and Mambolo, among other communities, to heartily welcome the lead APC flag bearer, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura.
In Kambia Town, which marked the first stop by the charismatic APC flag bearer aspirant, Dr. Bangura told the cheering crowd that he wasn’t in Kambia to discuss party politics; rather, his visit was underpinned by the requirements of Islam – to give charity during this Holy month of Ramadan. He, however, emphasised the need for party unity and discipline ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In Madina Tonko, Dr. Bangura told the exuberant crowd that he had them at heart; hence, his brief visit to share the little he had with them.
In Mambolo, where thousands more enthusiastic supporters and well-wishers clamoured to hear from him, the trust of his message was the same – to undertake charitable gestures during this Holy Month of Ramadan as required by Islam; and to urge all comrades to be united and work towards the party’s common goal of retaking political power.
On Tuesday in Port Loko City where a mammoth cheering crowd including major stakeholders in the district gathered at the APC party office to welcome him, the ace APC flag bearer aspirant, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura praised Port Loko for being a district ever committed to the APC, noting that his family has a historical connection with the district.
Dr. Bangura pointed out that his father, popularly known as M.L. Bangura, was very humble to the late S.I. Koroma and served him throughout his years to the end. Pa ML even continued with the legacy of the late S.I.Koroma, he said.
Dr. Bangura noted that the month of Ramadan requires sharing, adding that he has visited Port Loko City to share with them the little he has. The charming APC flag bearer aspirant also called on the people of Port Loko to join hands together to restore peace, unity, and discipline in the APC.
The distribution in Kambia Town, Madina Tonko, Mambolo and Port Loko City of thousands of bags of rice and gallons of cooking oil amidst jubilant singing and chanting of traditional and APC victory songs formed the highlights of the “Iftar” tour of the two districts.
