Following a decision by the High Court of Sierra Leone to confiscate the property of land grabbers in respect of a parcel of land at Banga Farm, Waterloo, property of one James Mathew Legg, alleged to have been taken over surreptitiously by two alleged notorious land grabbers, Abdlurahman Olu Kamara and Mohamed Davies Koroma, as their own; the Court ordered both men to pay damages and cost to the Plaintiff, Mr. James Mathew Legg, but their refusal to pay the costs and damages granted to the Plaintiff, by the High Court of Sierra Leone, necessitated an execution order to impound their properties for further decision of the Court on what to do.
However, during the operation to execute the Court Order, Mr. Mohamed Davies Koroma, an accomplice of the land grabbing king pin, of the same stature, could not be reached after he got wind of the presence of bailiffs and police at the premises of Mr. Abdlurahman Olu Kamara, Headman of Banga Farm, Waterloo, and a prominent, celebrated, and well-protected land grabber king pin in the Waterloo vicinity,
These two belong to a cabal of grabbers who can stop at nothing, including the manufacturing of unauthentic land documents. They even boast of having the police and the Ministry of Lands in their pockets.
Since the arrival of the bailiffs and the team of police at the headman’s house, his accomplice was not seen, the bailiffs and team then impounded the two vehicles in the headman’s compound, as a result of their refusal to pay the costs and damages granted to the Plaintiff, Mr. James Mathew Legg, by the High Court of Sierra Leone.
The dawn operation took place on Saturday 11th November 2023 with support from the bailiffs and the police. The plan was to impound properties belonging to both land grabbers, but unfortunately, only the premises of Headman Kamara could be reached, as the number of police personnel in the team was inadequate to visit both premises simultaneously.
The impounded vehicles were taken to the compound of the Law Court awaiting further action, as would be directed by the court. As we go to press the accomplice and notorious land grabber, Mohamed Davies Koroma, is at large.
