Caught Red-handed In Homosexual Act…

Vincent Nabieu Narrowly Escapes Lynching By Angry Youths

Reports reaching this medium reveal that one Vincent Nabieu, a graduate from the University of Makeni, and a worker at the Guaranty Trust Bank Limited Sierra Leone, was caught having sex with another male partner, Ibriham Kenneh Conteh, at his Makeni residence in northern Sierra Leone. According to our source, Vincent has been seen together with his partner on many occasions, but no one thought that they were both gay. They have been seen attending many social gatherings, including football, and neighbors confirmed seeing his partner, Ibriham Kenneh Conteh, visiting his house severally. They maintained that they felt their friendship was like all other normal friendships, until they were caught Red-handed in the act.

Sources say that on…. while Vincent and Ibrahim were in the house, a friend of Vincent paid an unexpected visit on him, and unfortunately, Vincent and Ibrahim forgot to lock the back door to the house, from where his friend entered. Upon entering the house, Vincent’s friend explained to our source that he heard strange noises coming from Vincent’s room, and upon checking the cause of the noise, he discovered that Vincent’s room was not locked, so he had easy access to the room, where he caught both men in very comprising condition.  Shocked by what he had stumbled on, the friend raised an alarm that brought area youths and neighbors rushing into the house. Both Vincent and Ibrahim were apprehended by the angry youths and were mercilessly beaten, with Ibrahim collapsing in their hands.

It was further revealed that in the confusion that ensued over the collapse of Ibrahim, attention was focused on him, which provided the opportunity for Vincent to escape from the angry mob, who had vowed to use them as a shining example of their intolerance for same sex people. It was also revealed that while escaping, Vincent was pursued by the youths, but managed to escape into a nearby bush and make good his escape.

Unfortunately, his partner was taken to the government hospital in an unconscious state, and the police alerted. He is said to be in a very serious state and in the custody of the police, with an armed guard deployed at the intensive care unit, where he is being treated. Same sex affairs in Sierra Leone are outlawed and anyone caught in the act faces life imprisonment if lucky, or face death at the hands of community people, who often apply mob-justice, resulting in the death of the culprit. In other cases, the culprit is taken out of the community into the forest by so called ‘traditional healers’ for treatment. In either case, the culprit ends up dead.

Both religious faiths in the country frown at the act of same sex, describing it as demonic. Traditional society see such acts as demon possessed and take these victims for traditional treatment.  Our source furthered that since his escape on that fateful day, Vincent has not returned, also that the youths and community members have mounted a manhunt for him, vowing to execute justice on him.

As we go to press the whereabouts of Vincent Nabieu are still unknown.
