Jagaban takes over Blama Community
Sheik Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, alias APC-Jagaban, a stalwart in the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) Party, has received a hero’s welcome upon his return to his hometown, Blama Town, Small Bo Chiefdom, Kenema District. This marks his first visit since arriving in Sierra Leone from the USA on January 8, 2025.
Jagaban’s visit began at his alma mater, the St. Joseph’s Agriculture Secondary School, where he was warmly greeted by pupils and staff. He shared memories of his school days and expressed his commitment to restoring the school’s former glory. In response to the school’s needs, he announced a donation of 30 laptops to establish a computer lab, along with internet access and solar panels to enhance learning conditions.
Jagaban held closed-door meetings with local school authorities, discussing strategies for advancing education in the Chiefdom. He also met with Chiefdom leaders, aligning their vision for Blama Township and by extension the Chiefdom’s development.
At his family residence, Jagaban addressed hundreds of supporters, listening to their requests, including, further financial aid for market women, youth groups and bike riders. He promised to address their concerns and urged unity for national development, while reinforcing his ambition to lead the country in the future.
