Sierra Leone’s Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security, Mohamed Rahman Swaray, has met with the Presidential Adviser on Job Creation, Alpha Osman Timbo. Mr. Timbo paid a courtesy call on the Minister on Monday 30th October 2023 at his office in Freetown.
They held fruitful discussions, which mainly centered on how to improve the sector, and collaboration with growth ministries to promote and actualize the Presidential initiative for the creation of 500,000 jobs for Sierra Leoneans. Mr. Timbo, who was appointed earlier this month, is Mr. Swaray’s direct predecessor, and one whom the Minister regards as “an elder brother and a mentor.”
“His role as Presidential Adviser on Job Creation is very strategic, and it is only but important that we meet and sit, because he is my immediate predecessor and has a wealth of experience to share,” the Minister stated.
