Afrmoney in partnership with Conex Energy Sierra Leone and Sierra Leone Commercial Tricycle Riders Union, launched the Tross Fuel with Afrimoney at their Headquarter office, Wilberforce, Freetown.
Speaking at the Event, Marcus Berdie HOS, Sales and Distribution, Afrimoney gave an overview of the Tross Fuel with Afrimoney.
He expressed happiness for such an opportunity today, as a way of tightening the partnership with the Sierra Leone Commercial Tricycle Riders Union. He furthered that last year 2023, there was a particular agreement signed to see how best Afrimoney as a company could help boost their business, and for the Riders in turn to help Afrimoney grow.
“So as part of last year’s agreement, today is the launching of the first products that will help and benefit them greatly, not as a union only, but mainly for the Rider ( Kekeh ) Riders,” he said.
This Tross fuel with Afrimoney Product is designed to help reduce the stress these Riders are going through, and to as well help those who do not have money to buy fuel. This gives them the opportunity to have access to Tross fuel through Afrimoney during the day, but before 7 pm, should pay back.
“For now, they will have access to six liters for the day, but for 3 liters after the first payment, you will have access to the other 3 as long as at 7 pm you should pay in full,” he added.
The process started on Friday at the Leonco Lumbley and Aberdeen NP Fuel station, for those who have already been registered are Eligible for the services.
Ishmael Conteh From Conex Energy Sierra Leone thanked the Management of Afrimoney for such an initiative and they are happy for their partnership, as Afrimoney is known for innovation and taking Risk. As Conex operates in 40 different stations, and is one of the strongest brand in the field, they are much more happy with such a partnership with them, as these will bring smile to the faces of the Kekeh Riders. Therefore he endorsed the Project and Will ensure that they will support Afrimoney in ensuring that these products work well and effectively.
The interim President of The Sierra Leone Commercial Tricycle Riders Union, Serry Ibrahim, expressed gratitude to the Management of Afrimoney for such a stress Free initiative, as fuel is key problem when it comes to riding, and this has been a greater challenge that they are facing and therefore they made no mistake in choosing Afrimoney to be their partner. Mr Ibrahim pleaded with the Kekeh Riders and union members to be transparent in the process and should not use any criminal act, because this is for their benefit.
The Managing Director of Afrimoney, Martison Obeng-Agyei, said that it’s indeed an exciting day for them as a company, as this is part of their corporate social responsibility to give back to society. This is to ensure that they breach the gap with the Riders to help their business to grow.
He furthered that the charges for Commission per 3 litres is only le5 leones, and encouraged all Kekeh Riders to be part of this service.
For eligibility, you have to fill a form and register with Afrimoney number, and only members that belong to the union are qualified. The service will be available Nationwide and Agents will be put also in each park.
