A Senior Auditor at Audit Service SL Named Alpha Salieu Bangura Declared Wanted in Alleged Ministry of Health, Office of the Chief Minister & Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Corruption Probe

A Senior Auditor at the Audit Service Sierra Leone, Alpha Salieu Bangura, is being sought over allegations of bribery and corruption linked to the audit of three government institutions for the Financial Year 2024.
According to sources close to the investigation, Mr. Bangura, who resides at *3 Wellington Street, Freetown, and is a father of two, is wanted in connection with alleged irregularities uncovered during audits of the Ministry of Health, the Office of the Chief Minister, and the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.
Officials familiar with the matter allege that the Senior Auditor may have been involved in acts of bribery related to the audit process of the three ministries. Details of the allegations have not yet been made public as investigations continue.
The case relates to the 2024 Financial Year audits, a period that covered major government spending on health services, state operations, and tourism development.
As of press time, efforts to reach Mr. Bangura for comment were unsuccessful.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Alpha Salieu Bangura to contact the nearest police station. A reward has been announced for credible information leading to his location.
Mr. Bangura is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a competent court of law.
