Sierra Leone Embassy In Saudi Arabia Receives New Deputy Ambassador

The newly appointed Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Abdul Aziz Turay, on Wednesday, 9th October, 2024, arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to officially assume duty.

Ambassador Turay was warmly received at the King Khalid International Airport’s Executive Lounge by the Head of Chancery of the Sierra Leone Embassy, Alhaji Ahmed Tejan Kabba, the First Secretary, Mohamed Victor Kamara, and a cross section of Embassy staff.

The new Deputy Ambassador of Sierra Leone to Saudi Arabia was appointed on 1st July, 2024, by His Excellency, President Dr. Julius Maada Bio. On the 16th July, 2024, Mr. Turay was approved by the Well of Parliament, following his successful interview by the Committee on Appointment and Public Service.

On Thursday, 3rd October, 2024, he took leave of His Excellency, President Dr Julius Maada Bio.

Deputy Ambassador Abdul Aziz Turay will work with Ambassador Mohamed Sheriff Barrie to further strengthen and advance the existing bilateral relationship between the Republic of Sierra Leone and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Syria and the Sultanate of Oman.
