The 55th Choir Anniversary celebration of the National Pentecostal Church, Congo Cross, concluded in grand style with excitement and unity.

The highlight of the festivities was a spirited football match, where Team Blue emerged victorious, clinching the coveted Fatmata Bayinka Trophy with a 1–0 win over Team White.

The friendly “comic match” was more than just a game. It provided an opportunity for church members, especially the choir, to showcase their talents beyond their regular worship activities, bringing joy and camaraderie to all who attended.

“With hearts full of gratitude and joy, we extend our deepest appreciation to all who contributed to the resounding success of the just-concluded 55th Choir Anniversary celebration.

The anniversary was not just an event, but a divine encounter,” said Brother Momoh, one of the event organizers, in an exclusive interview.

He continued, “Our thanks are due to many, but first to God Almighty for a successful celebration. We sincerely thank and honor every choir member, whose voices lifted hearts and souls in celestial harmony. Your unwavering commitment, spiritual preparation, and musical excellence transformed the celebration into a sanctuary of praise that echoed far beyond the walls of the venue.”

Brother Momoh also extended special recognition to Choirmaster, Mr. Robert M. Kamara, for his leadership and organizational skills, which helped create such a memorable celebration. He further expressed heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Fatmata Baby Bayinka and family, for their tireless efforts in mobilizing resources to ensure the program’s success.

Speaking from the United States, Mrs. Bayinka, sponsor of the trophy, said she was deeply impressed by the outcome of the event. She revealed that some of her close friends and family members have already shown interest in sustaining the tournament as an annual tradition. “I will continue to contribute in my own way to the church, which is very dear to my heart,” she said, adding that in the work of God, there are no losers.
