In a solid display of leadership and grassroots connection, Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, known widely as Jagaban, and his entourage received a heartfelt traditional welcome from the people of Dembeila-Sinkunia Chiefdom in Falaba District. The gathering was attended by local dignitaries, including Paramount Chief Alimamy Lahai Sheku VI, along with other section chiefs and community members.
During the visit, the people of Dembeila-Sinkunia made a humble, yet significant request for the construction of an Islamic Learning Center, noting that the existing structure had served the community for many years, but was now in dire need of support. In response, Jagaban immediately approved the request and asked for detailed information regarding the project, reaffirming his commitment to education and faith-based development.
To further show their unwavering support, the people led Jagaban to the All People’s Congress (APC) office—notably the first APC office in the Northern Region. They passionately appealed to him for assistance in constructing a permanent party office in the area. In a symbolic gesture of loyalty and respect, traditional kola nuts were presented, with the district chairman stating, “He who brings kola nut brings life.” Jagaban, deeply moved by the gesture, reciprocated with his own traditional show of appreciation.
The celebration continued from one end of the junction to the other, with communities expressing joy, dancing, and solidarity. Jagaban responded with heartfelt thanks, acknowledging the overwhelming love and unity shown to him. He further commended the APC District Executive for their tireless efforts and dedication during these crucial times.
