VP Juldeh Jalloh Commits to Bridge Employment Gap Through Technology

Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, has reaffirmed his office’s leadership in driving youth empowerment through technology and innovation, during the official opening of Day 2 of the 2025 SL Innovates: Digital Government Summit.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Jalloh emphasized the strategic role of his office in bridging the gap between young people and employment through targeted programs.

“The Office of the Vice President initiated a National Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Forum to provide opportunities to get young people on the path to jobs,” he stated.

Linking youth development to digital transformation, the Vice President announced that the Forum is now being integrated with the Tech Summit to unlock new possibilities for students and aspiring tech professionals.

“Today, we are combining that with the Tech Summit to create opportunities for young people in the tech industry, especially students studying innovation, technology, and digital education,” he said.

VP Juldeh Jalloh also highlighted government’s efforts to expand digital infrastructure across Sierra Leone, noting, “We continue to build the digital ecosystem, infrastructure that stretches across this country, increasing access to mobile services and data. That infrastructure becomes the backbone to help you develop your skills and access jobs.”
