The Presidency is an institution
The Presidency of Sierra Leone is an institution occupied by two individuals voted for by the citizen of a country, with the national constitution clearly stating their duties and responsibilities respectively, and under which circumstances they should be removed from office using the appropriate legal instrument. It’s an open secret that the democratically elected Vice President, Chief Samuel Sam Sumana, was maliciously lied against and unconstitutionally removed from office to gratify the then President, now in exile, who then considered himself a demi-god and should be worshipped by those he lavished national resources on recklessly.
Confession of lies; regret dastardly actions
I have asked this question in few articles published in some local newspapers: What forbidden and seven times forbidden unforgivable crime has the former Honourable Vice President, Chief Samuel Sam Sumana, committed against some executive members of the All People’s Congress (APC), that has warranted the hate, jealous, envy against him? Even when those who lied against him, have openly confessed that they lied against him, and some members of the party, who took the dastardly action to expel him, regret it, and regional ECOWAS Court’s verdict in Chief Samuel Sam Sumana’s fervour. Methinks the party executive should have tendered their profound apologies to Chief Samuel Sam Sumana and do the needful- re-instating him unconditionally, which has been done, but his haters are refusing to accept it, because his presence threatens their political ambition. They are aware that if they go into a free and fair competition with him, he will beat them hands down. That is why they are throwing everything at him, even to the detriment of the party. It’s but prudent for the opposition party, at a critical moment like this, to be building bridges and mending fences to come back to governance, but hate intoxicates more than the hardest illegal drug and substance. And some APC executive members are intoxicated by hate of Chief Samuel Sam Sumana, instead of unifying party members for victory in 2028. They are focused on propagating wrong information about Chief Sam Sumana.
Useful idiots open the Pandora box
And some useful idiots have joined the hate band wagon. They are roaming from one Radio station to another, ranting with their hate massages and myopic opinion about Chief Samuel Sam Sumana’s APC membership status and his legibility to contest as a Presidential aspirant in 2028 general elections. Like cow on its way to an abattoir deciding to drop its dumb to mess the street, only ends up messing its own backside; their ranting has opened the Pandoras box. But it is a story for another day; most preferably I will leave for lawyers, perhaps the legal waters will be tried again if they attempt to carry out their diabolic plans against Chief Sam Sumana’s Presidential aspiration for 2028.
The National constitution supersize
An elderly statesman, former Leader of Government Business in Parliament, Honorable Ibrahim Bundu, on AYV television, was equivocal that the national constitution supersedes ALL subsidiary laws, but hate will not allow it to sink into their coconut heads.
