Court Issues Bench Warrant For Directorate of Hospital Management

Magistrate Mark Ngegba of NASSIT Court, on Saturday 26 August 2023, ordered a bench warrant of arrest for the Director of the Directorate of Hospital Management, Ibrahim Foday Musa. The order came when NASSIT lawyers T.A Jah and UDF Sesay applied for same, as both defendants failed to appear in Court.

The 1st and 2nd defendants; Directorate of Hospital Management and Ibrahim Foday Musa, who is the Director, are charged on a count of failure to pay Social Security Contributions, Contrary to Section 32 (1) (c) of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust Act No. 5 of 2001.

Particulars of Offence, both defendants; Directorate of Hospital Management and Ibrahim Foday Musa, being an Establishment and Employer respectively under the National Social Security and Insurance Trust Act No. 5 of 2001, on diverse dates between September 2022 to December 2022, at No. 30 Old Railway Line, Tengbeh town, Freetown, did fail to pay Social Security Contributions in the sum of eighty nine thousand six hundred and sixty eight Leones sixty nine cent (Le 89,668.68) in the new Leones for its workers to the Trust within the required period.

Matter adjourned to the 2nd September 2023.
