Following an open letter, dated 10th May 2024 authored by Alfred Minkailu Payamba Koroma to Lansana Dumbuya Esq., National Secretary General of the All People’s Congress Party, there has been widespread controversies surrounding the content of the said letter, which focuses on urging the APC Party to expedite the long-awaited membership registration process.
Citing the 2022 APC Constitution, Koroma revealed that the APC Party was founded on the principles of inclusivity, equality and justice for all citizens, regardless of background or creed.
Payamba expressed his dissatisfaction to Lansana Dumbuya Esq. stating that: “It is disheartening to note that since assuming office over a year ago, there has been a glaring absence of membership registration activities. This lapse not only undermines the democratic ethos of our party, but also hampers our ability to expand and diversify our membership base, essential for our continued relevance and vibrancy. Alfred Minkailu Koroma disclosed.
Another school of thought received the assertions of Minkailu Koroma with mixed feelings, referencing the prevailing circumstances at hand, especially the ongoing tripartite investigation and the incarceration of its National Organising Secretary, Honourable Bai Mahmoud Bangura.
