In a remarkable display of leadership and commitment to service, the Deputy National Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Robert Kondema Kargbo, on Saturday, 4th October 2025, on behalf of his Boss, Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, organized and led a successful cleaning exercise at the Party’s National Headquarters in Freetown. The well-thought-out initiative by the dynamic Deputy Chairman was aimed at ensuring that the headquarters remains clean, well-ventilated, and conducive for party members and visitors alike.
The exercise attracted enthusiastic participation from party grassroots, staff, and supporters, who joined hands in cleaning the entire premises. It was a lively and inspiring event that reflected the SLPP’s long-standing commitment not only to promoting hygiene and environmental cleanliness, but also to practicing it.
True to his people-centered leadership style, Robert Kondema Kargbo actively participated throughout the exercise, working alongside the grassroots from start to finish. Speaking during the exercise, the Deputy National Chairman, stated that after thorough consultations with his boss, the National Chairman, they both deemed it necessary to organize a comprehensive cleaning exercise at the Party Headquarters.
He underscored the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment as a reflection of the SLPP’s values of order, unity, and good governance. He encouraged party members to take pride in their headquarters and to embody the spirit of service and teamwork in all party activities.
He reiterated that the SLPP has always been known for cleanliness and discipline, tracing this culture back to the legacy of the leader, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio, who institutionalized the National Cleaning Day across the country.
