Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally has thrown his full support behind youth leaders across the entire Western Area, commonly known as Freetown City, to register a Youths in Action and Development Cooperative Society aimed at empowerment, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.

On January 8, a total of 100 hardcore youth leaders, who control and influence youth activities across Sierra Leone, were trained and certified as trainers in cooperative management and operations. These trained leaders are expected to transfer their knowledge and skills to tens of thousands of youths nationwide.
Notably, former leaders of the black, blue, and red gangs were among the participants, marking a significant step toward reconciliation and lasting peace among youth groups that were once involved in violent conflicts.

The youths expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally for his commitment to youth empowerment and for fostering peace among groups that previously engaged in deadly rivalries.
The Youths in Action and Development Cooperative Society is scheduled to be officially launched in early February. Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally has also pledged to provide startup capital to support the cooperative and ensure its successful takeoff.
This initiative is widely seen as a transformative move toward unity, economic empowerment, and long-term stability among youths in Freetown and across Sierra Leone.
