Today, the Honourable Minister of Information and Civic Education, Mr. Chernor Bah, received a Certificate of Honor from Afriqu Europe Magazine for his exceptional leadership and professionalism in advancing public communication and civic education in Sierra Leone.
The award, presented by Lokombe Nkalulu, Editor-in-Chief of Afriqu Europe Magazine, and Abdoul Rahaman Bah, Investigative Journalist, celebrates Minister Bah’s remarkable contribution to transparency, open access to information, and credible communication between government and citizens.
Representatives from the Africa Diaspora Journalists Network, which conducted the selection, described Minister Bah as the Best Minister of Information in West Africa — a recognition of his dedication to fostering civic awareness and strengthening public trust in government information systems.
This award reflects not only his personal achievement but also the Ministry’s vision to build an informed, engaged, and empowered citizenry through inclusive and transparent communication.
