Magistrate Issues Bench warrant for Sky Travel Agency

National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), on Saturday 26 August 2023, dragged Sky Travel Agency and the Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed S. Bundu, for failure to pay Social Security Contributions, Contrary to Section 32 (1) (c) of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust Act No. 5 of 2001.

Particulars of Offence, both defendants Sky Travel Agency and Mohamed S. Bundu, being an Establishment and Employer respectively under the National Social Security and Insurance Trust Act No. 5 of 2001, on diverse dates between September 2022 to February 2023, at No. 40 Rawdon Street, Freetown, did fail to pay Social Security Contributions in the sum of one thousand nine hundred and eighty Leones (Le 1,980,00) in the new leones for its workers to the Trust within the required period.

When the matter was mentioned, both defendants were absent, T.A Jah and UDF Sesay Esq applied for bench warrant which was granted by Magistrate Mark Ngegba.

Matter adjourned to the 2 September 2023.
