Hon Sidie Mohamed Tunis donates

As part of his continued commitment to empowering women within the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Hon. Sidie Mohamed Tunis has provided the SLPP Bo District Women’s Wing with five hundred million old leones now known as five hundred thousand new leones (Le 500,000) to support and strengthen their economic activities.

The presentation took place during a well-attended and peaceful engagement that brought together party members, grassroots supporters, and senior officials of the SLPP Southern Region. The event underscored the unity and growing momentum within the party’s base.

Hon. Tunis, who also serves as one of the party’s key stakeholders, emphasized that women form the foundation of the SLPP’s success and must be supported to realize their full potential. He stated that the financial support was intended as seed money for the Bo District women to invest in small-scale business ventures that can improve their livelihoods and sustain their families.

“Our party women are the backbone of our movement,” Hon. Tunis remarked. “It is only fitting that we continue to empower them with the tools and opportunities they need to grow economically and strengthen our party from the ground up.”

Acknowledging that not every supporter or member of a ruling government can be employed at once, Hon. Tunis stressed that initiatives like this are crucial in providing meaningful empowerment and economic opportunities for loyal supporters.

Over the years, Hon. Sidie Mohamed Tunis has been widely recognized for his consistent efforts to uplift SLPP supporters and promote grassroots development, particularly among women and youth. His gesture in Bo is part of a broader drive to energize, unify, and solidify the SLPP’s support base ahead of future national engagements.
