Political heavy weight and top contender for the APC ticket to contest the 2028 Presidential Election, Mohamed Omodu Kamara, commonly called ‘Jagaban’, was the Grand Chief Patron at the St-Joseph Secondary and Agriculture School annual inter house Athletic Sports meeting in Blama town-kenema District.
Jagaban’s presence at the Saint Joseph Secondary and Agriculture School annual inter house Athletic Sports meeting in Blama town-kenema District, was considered by the people as a blessing in disguise to the school, the town and the entire district.
Demonstrating a show of happiness and appreciation for his visit, the school administration and some key stakeholders of the District gave a warm hero’s welcome to Jagaban and his national executive, as they took the athletic torch around the field, followed closely by the keynote speaker, Walter Sam, the Senior Secondary School Principal.
The head of administration who also doubles as the Secretary General of the Alumni, Ibrahim Kokowai Musa, and Madam Jeneba Jakar Alghali, President of (SJOSA) the old pupils’ association of the school, together with a cross-section of their executive body, engaged Jagaban in a closed door and strategic meeting, seeking assistance in promoting their unfinished projects in the school, namely: a mini- office secretariat for SJOSA, a School pavilion and Home Economics building.
In response to their humble request, Jagaban assured the Alumni that he will fix a computer laboratory and also promised to install solar lights in the school.
Jagaban’s leadership style, according political commentators, is characterized by a calm and measured approach, earning him admiration among the general populace. There are those who hold the view that the time for transformation is now. Others believe that with his track record of integrity, humanitarian service, and defense for the voiceless, he is prepared to take on the nation’s biggest political battle—not for power, but for the suffering masses.
