Jagaban Offers 250M for road construction
On the 26thJanuary, 2025, Sheik Alhaji Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, alias APC-Jagaban, donated SLE 250,000 towards the ongoing road construction project in the Carlton Carew Road community, located off Wilkinson Road. The donation was made during the official kickoff of the Jagaban Fan Base Wilkinson Road Chapter’s ‘Kick Out Drug Abuse Football Tournament’ at the Carlton Carew Community Football Field.
Comrade APC-Jagaban, a Business Mogul, Philanthropist and Stalwart in the main opposition party, All People’s Congress (APC), was accompanied by Comrade Hon. Alimamy Petito Koroma, former Minister of Works and ex-Ambassador to China under the Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma’s administration.
In his remarks, APC-Jagaban expressed delight with the tournament’s launch, which aims to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse among youths. He further increased the prize money, offering SLE 40,000 for the winners and SLE 30,000 for the runners-up.
The tournament, featuring 16 teams in a knockout format, is expected to attract thousands of spectators. Jagaban cautioned young people to avoid drugs, emphasizing the harmful impact on their lives.
This tournament is part of Jagaban’s ongoing support for community initiatives, following a similar event held at Lumley Community two weeks ago.
