Hon Musa Tarawallie Supports Development Loans in Mongo Chiefdom

On January 11, 2026,The Falaba District Cooperative Society officially commenced the disbursement of loan support to beneficiaries across Falaba District, beginning with Mongo Chiefdom. The initiative was made possible through the generous support of Honourable Alhaji Musa Tarawalie.

The Cooperative Society has emphasized that the funds provided are not political in nature. Rather, the loans form part of a developmental and economic empowerment program designed to support members of the general public in improving their businesses, livelihoods, and overall financial stability.

Beneficiaries are expected to repay the loans with interest, in accordance with the cooperative’s established rules and sustainability framework. This approach is intended to ensure the continuity of the program and enable more community members to benefit in the future.

A key focus of the initiative is the economic empowerment of women, particularly those actively engaged in income-generating activities. The Cooperative Society recognizes the vital role women play in community development and believes that strengthening their economic capacity will improve household welfare, boost local businesses, and contribute to long-term district-wide growth.

The Society further clarified that the program is non-partisan and inclusive, with no consideration given to political party affiliation, beliefs, or personal background. Its sole objective is to promote self-reliance, economic growth, and sustainable community development throughout Falaba District.

Beneficiaries—especially women entrepreneurs and small business owners—have been encouraged to use the loans responsibly and productively, ensuring timely repayment so that the initiative can continue to support others across the district.

The Falaba District Cooperative Society reaffirmed its commitment to advancing economic opportunities and improving livelihoods for all residents of the district.
