Sierra Leone’s most prominent political heavyweight and godfather, Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally, is presently at the Parade Playing Field to launch a vibrant Cooperative Scheme for Young People. The launch has seen members of the Sierra Leone People’s Party in good number.
The name Musa Tarawally rings a bell in the political landscape of Sierra Leone. One of the SLPP members in attendance told me that without Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally, SLPP will find it difficult to win the 2028 elections. He added that, “if Musa Tarawally is given the flag under the SLPP, even APC supporters will be comfortably comfortable voting SLPP.”
