Emmanuel A.C.B. Sandy Becomes New Trade & Investment Envoy

President Julius Maada Bio has appointed Mr. Emmanuel Albert Crispin Beresford Sandy as Sierra Leone’s new Trade and Investment Envoy.

The appointment was formally communicated by the Office of the President in an official letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Barba B. Fortune.

In his new role, Mr. Sandy will be responsible for promoting Sierra Leonean businesses, products, and trade interests on the international stage. His mandate also includes identifying emerging trade and investment opportunities abroad, and bringing them to the attention of relevant government authorities.

The position also allows for Mr. Sandy to undertake additional duties as may be assigned by President Bio from time to time.

The appointment has been copied to several key government offices, including the Vice President’s Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Chief Immigration Officer, and the National Investment Board.

Mr. Sandy is expected to respond in writing to confirm his acceptance of the appointment.
