EDSA Announces Serious Power Outage Affecting Six Communities

On September 23, 2024, the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) issued a public notice alerting residents to a major power outage affecting several communities. The disruption was triggered early in the morning, when network operators detected an alarming noise coming from the 33kV incomer transformer located at Wilberforce. This incident has led to a significant interruption in the power supply along the 33kV distribution line, impacting multiple areas.

The following communities have been affected by the outage:

  • Bathurst
  • Spur Road
  • Entire Lumley
  • Goderich and the Peninsula

EDSA management is actively working with its project line construction team to address the problem.
