Co- Founder of Salone Messenger Sallu Kamuskay Visits India’s Presidential Palace as Part of Content Creators Familiarisation Tour

Sallu Kamuskay, Co-founder of Salone Messenger, was among a select group of African content creators who had the rare opportunity to visit the iconic Presidential Palace of India — the Rashtrapati Bhavan — as part of the ongoing Content Creators Familiarisation Tour.

The tour, which brings together leading digital creators from West and Central Africa, is organised and fully funded by the Government of India through the Indian High Commission in Sierra Leone and the Ministry of External Affairs. It is aimed at strengthening cultural ties and promoting people-to-people connections between India and African nations.

Reflecting on his visit, Kamuskay expressed deep appreciation and described the experience as humbling and historic.

“Yesterday, I was humbled and honoured to step into the India Presidential Palace, also known as Rashtrapati Bhavan, as part of this incredible tour,” he said. “It was a true honour to walk through its halls and learn about the legacy it holds.”

The Rashtrapati Bhavan, home to the President of India, is one of the largest presidential residences in the world. With over 340 rooms and beautifully designed Mughal-style gardens, the palace is a striking symbol of India’s architectural brilliance and political heritage. Originally constructed as the residence of British governors during the colonial era, it now stands as a proud monument to India’s independence and democratic progress.

Kamuskay, who represents Sierra Leone’s growing digital media landscape, joined creators from countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, and Côte d’Ivoire. Together, they are exploring India’s historical sites, cultural institutions, and technological hubs as part of a week-long exchange programme.

The tour highlights India’s commitment to building strong cultural bridges with Africa through digital engagement and public diplomacy.

“This journey has not only deepened my understanding of India’s rich history but also reminded me of the power of culture and storytelling to bring nations together,” Kamuskay added.

The familiarisation tour continues with more landmark visits, networking sessions, and creative exchanges designed to amplify the voices of African creators on a global stage.
