Jagaban Supports Evangelical Model School Rebuilding Efforts

In a heartfelt effort to address the pressing educational challenges of the Mile 71 community, Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, widely known as APC Jagaban, made a pivotal stop during his journey from Kenema. Greeted by a warm and enthusiastic crowd, residents shared their deep concerns over the deteriorating state of the Evangelical Model School (EMS), prompting Jagaban to personally visit the site for a firsthand assessment of its crumbling infrastructure.

Disturbed by what he witnessed, Jagaban encouraged the community to dismantle the existing structure and replace it with a temporary building using corrugated iron sheets—serving as a short-term solution. He pledged to support the development of an ultra-modern facility to provide a long-lasting, dignified learning environment for the children.

As a seasoned mobilizer, philanthropist, and leading aspirant of the All People’s Congress (APC), Jagaban reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development and inclusive education across Sierra Leone. His intervention comes at a critical moment for the community, where years of neglect and underfunding have left hundreds of pupils learning in unsafe and inadequate conditions.

In a bold and compassionate gesture, Jagaban donated NLe 10,000 (Ten Thousand New Leones) as seed funding to initiate the construction of a new, well-equipped school. He further pledged ongoing financial and logistical support to ensure the project’s successful completion and long-term sustainability.

Beyond infrastructure, Jagaban promised to provide essential learning materials, including textbooks, school uniforms, stationery, and classroom furniture. His holistic approach seeks not only to rebuild the school, but to transform Mile 71’s educational future—making it more inclusive, accessible, and fit for the 21st century.

His generosity was met with overwhelming appreciation. Mr. Abu Bakarr Bangura, community head of Mile 71, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of residents. Parents, educators, and local leaders hailed the initiative as a landmark moment and a demonstration of authentic, people-centered leadership.
