Ady Macauley, a leading contender in the All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer race, received a hero’s welcome on Friday, 18 April 2025, as he joined worshippers for Jumah prayers at the historic Jami’ul Baitullah Mosque in Fourah Bay, Western Area, Freetown.
Mr. Macauley, a prominent lawyer and respected son of the Fourah Bay community, continues to garner widespread support from residents—many of whom credit him for his impactful contributions both locally and nationally.
The atmosphere was electric, as community members, young and old, gathered in large numbers to greet him. His arrival at the mosque, moments before the prayer service began, was met with cheers, chants of solidarity, and warm embraces—testament to the deep bond he shares with his home community.
Speaking after the prayers, local elders and community leaders expressed admiration and pride in Mr. Macauley’s presence, calling it a symbolic and uplifting moment for Fourah Bay. Many praised his dedication to national development and his consistent representation of the community’s values on wider platforms.
“This is not just a visit; it’s a homecoming,” said Alhaji Ibrahim Badamasi, a senior community elder. “We are proud of our son and pray for his continued success and protection.”
