Arriving To A Hero’s Welcome…

Jagaban Graces SJOSA Annual Sports Celebration

On April 11, 2025, in a moment of pride and celebration, St. Joseph’s Secondary and Agricultural School (SJOSA), Blama Town, Small Bo, Kenema District, warmly welcomed Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, fondly known as Jagaban, as the guest of honor at their Annual School Sports Meet. The visit marked a significant return of one of the school’s most distinguished sons.

Principal, Mr. Walter Sam, led the school in honoring Jagaban with the symbolic Olympic Torch of Legacy and Excellence. In a powerful gesture, Jagaban sprinted the 100m track with the torch before passing it to a student, sparking a relay symbolizing unity, inspiration, and generational leadership.

During the ceremony, Mrs. Jakar Alghail, President of the SJOSA Old Students Association, and Secretary-General, Mr. Ibrahim Kokowai Musa, shared the Association’s aspirations for new school facilities and student-focused infrastructure. Jagaban responded with heartfelt assurance that their concerns would not go unheard.

His presence reaffirmed his commitment to education and community. His leadership remains a beacon of hope, reminding all that roots matter — and so does giving back.
