Leader of the main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC), Dr. Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara has announced a planned address to the nation on Tuesday 3rd October 2023.
According to Kamara, the conference will be used to address issues concerning transparency and accountability in the just concluded general elections.
“We hear you. We understand that the recent elections gave rise to concerns about transparency and accountability. The continued silence has only added to the uncertainty. We want to assure you that your voices have not fallen on deaf ears. We’re committed to providing the clarity and direction we all crave in these trying times,” an invitation released on Sunday reads.
He added that after the press statement, there will be room for questions and answers with the media, as an opportunity to shed light on the issue at hand.
“Dr. Samura M W Kamara will address the nation in a must-watch press statement, followed by a Q&A session with the print media. This is an opportunity for us to come together, shed light on the issues at hand, and outline our path forward,” the statement reads.
At the end of the release, He called on the public to remain united, as they are committed to regaining the people’s trust.
“Let’s remain united and focused on our shared vision for a better future. Your trust is invaluable, and we’re committed to regaining it.” He said.
