Under the committed leadership of Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka, Sierra Leone’s agricultural transformation is steadily moving from vision to reality.
These locally produced rice, grown by hardworking Sierra Leonean farmers through the Government’s Feed Salone initiative, with support from the Food Systems Resilience Programme (FSRP), are a clear reflection of the progress being made in strengthening local food production.
Dr. Kpaka continues to demonstrate strong commitment, dedication and leadership in delivering on President Julius Maada Bio’s flagship Feed Salone programme. His efforts to empower farmers, improve productivity, promote modern farming practices and strengthen the agricultural value chain deserve commendation.
The growing production of locally cultivated rice is more than just an agricultural achievement—it represents hope for farmers, opportunities for rural communities, food security for families and a stronger economy for Sierra Leone.
With the determination of Minister Kpaka and the hard work of our farmers, Sierra Leone is proving that we have the land, the people and the potential to feed ourselves.
Feed Salone is becoming a reality, one farm and one harvest at a time.
Kudos to Minister Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka for his tireless efforts, and to our hardworking Sierra Leonean farmers for producing the food that will help build a more self-sufficient nation.
