Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, an economist, academic and peace expert, has declared that he is seeking leadership of the All People’s Congress not to divide, but to unite and rebuild the party and the nation.
Speaking on his vision for the APC and Sierra Leone, Dr. Bangura said he comes “with clean hands, a clear conscience, and a genuine desire to serve.”

“I come not with bitterness or blame, but with clean hands, a clear conscience, and a genuine desire to serve,” Dr. Bangura stated.
Dr. Bangura is a development economist and lecturer with years of experience in policy, governance and peacebuilding. He has worked as a consultant for national and international organizations and is widely recognized for his expertise in dialogue, conflict resolution and reconciliation. His background spans academia, public policy, and community engagement across Sierra Leone.
Dr. Bangura said his journey as an economist, lecturer, consultant and peace expert has taught him the importance of dialogue, reconciliation and unity in national development.
“I have always believed that where there is division, we must choose healing; where there is conflict, we must choose peace; and where there are challenges, we must come together to build solutions,” he said.
He outlined his vision for the APC and Sierra Leone under the theme “Heal, Unite and Build” – HUB.
According to him, the vision is simple: “I seek to unite our people, strengthen our party and create a better future for every Sierra Leonean.”
Dr. Bangura stressed that his ambition is rooted in service, not personal gain.
“I am not coming to divide. I am coming to build bridges. I am not seeking leadership for personal ambition, but for service,” he added.
He concluded with a call to members and supporters of the APC and all Sierra Leoneans to embrace the HUB agenda.
“Together, let us Heal. Unite. Build,” Dr. Bangura said.
